lyrikline.org inauguration in Helsinki

The official opening of the Finnish edition of lyrikline.org is going to take place in Helsinki on 26 August 2010 during the Runokuu (Poetry Moon) Festival*. It will feature a presentation of lyrikline.org including the first five Finnish poets, prepared for us by our Finnish partners Lukukeskus/The Finnish Reading Centre and Nuoren Voiman Liitto. All new featured poets will be present and will read on that evening: Tua Forsström, Tomi Kontio, Lauri Otonkoski, Saila Susiluoto, and Johanna Venho.

The inauguration event takes place at restaurant Kaisaniemi and will start at 20:30. Afterwards, around 21:45, some ZEBRA poetry films are screened and the band Vaarallista will be playing.

Before the lyrikline inauguration there will be a poetry slam competition.

Before the lyrikline inauguration there will be a poetry slam competition. The Poetry Slam Final will end around 20.00. During the half an hour break 20.00-20.30 ZEBRA poetry films will be screened.
