Approaching World Poetry Day 2013 – The place where I write

Posted in about us by lyrikline on 14. March 2013

Every year, we prepare a little feature for the World Poetry Day, March 21, on this blog, focusing on a different topic each time, like poetry and film, poetry translation or poet’s understanding of poetry (see & read more: world-poetry-day.)
This year we have asked some of the lyrikline poets to take pictures of the places where they write –  their place of poetry so to speak.

From today on, we present new photos every day, picturing desks or other places where poetry is actually produced and written. In addition to the photo, the poets have been asked to send some lines or verses, describing their desks, reflecting the work situation, or similar.

Every picture tells a story, it is said. The results are an interesting collection of different approaches, perspectives, statements, circumstances etc.

Many deep thanks to all the poets who have contributed to this World Poetry Day feature for sharing a small insight into a poet’s life and home.
