In this clip from 1961, Austrian poet Ingeborg Bachmann (June 25, 1926 – October 17, 1973) reads her poem Mein Vogel (‘My Bird’) – a poem addressed to an owl: the bird of twilight, between light and dark, the poet’s weapon but also her observer.

An English translation can be found in: Songs in Flight, The Collected Poems of Ingeborg Bachmann. Edited and translated by Peter Filkins.  Bilingual edition (Marsilio, 1995)
