Readings to remember: Ingeborg Bachmann
In this clip from 1961, Austrian poet Ingeborg Bachmann (June 25, 1926 – October 17, 1973) reads her poem Mein Vogel (‘My Bird’) – a poem addressed to an owl: the bird of twilight, between light and dark, the poet’s weapon but also her observer.
